When we host a visitor at our flagship campus in Dayton, we often end the day by asking for candid feedback. Many of you have had that experience. One of you, a career educator, offered an insightful and encouraging observation.
“The best indicator of a great school is the number of smiling adults in the building,” this person said. “And I’ve never seen a school with more smiling adults than this place.”
We’re biased, of course, but we tend to agree.
Achievement is important. Metrics matter. This report is filled with such details. But in order to fully appreciate an educational model and school culture, you have to see and feel it firsthand. There is no substitute. So if you’ve yet to experience The Greater Dayton School, consider this your invitation.
Once on campus, you’ll see what education looks like when every single decision is made in the best interest of students and the work is carried out by the best educators in America. It’s the kind of educational experience all children deserve.
We’ve never viewed this work as a singular school. (Or two schools for that matter.) We’ve always referred to it as an “educational revolution.”
Many of you have seen, felt and aided that revolution. We can’t thank you enough. But if you haven’t, you’re always welcome. We can’t do this alone.

Greater Schools proved this works in Dayton. Now, we’re raising $135 million to bring it to Cincinnati — and we need partners.
